Despite being under the $300 limit most recyclers have and supplying id we were only informed after they had our scrap that they needed an abn. Also get this, they would only post out a cheque for payment. Very bad customer service by this branch and another two I have dealt with in the past. Never again!

Dropped off a car body and while at the counter I asked how much scrap cars are going for and the lady told me $50 a tonne. Proceed around the back got the car unloaded and they began crushing, drive around to get the weight/payment and the lady tells me it was one tonne and they were not going to give me anything for it as there was no engine.
What sort of business is that? Basically stole the metal by not saying they would not give me anything until the car was removed and it was too late. Still contemplating to take it further.
